This past weekend, the Buckeye Wakeboard Team ventured up to Collingwood to participate in the 2010 Wakestock: Wakeboarding World Series. The 7 young athletes have been competing this summer at grass root wakeboarding events that have been hosted in Newmarket, Ottawa, Bobcaygeon and Gravenhurst. Here is a small recap of the brooklin spring fair winch jam. Lots of sick tricks went down over the weekend, in the end taking the big cash prizes for the best overall riders were Dary Znebel for wakeboard and Nic Harlos for wakeskate.

Ontario’s Kyle Rattray Finishes 4th at PWT

Straight out of Haliburton Ontario, Kyle Rattray has been killing it on the Pro scene down South for the past five years. This past weekend he made is first ever final on the tour, a HUGE accomplishment for any pro rider worldwide. Congrats to Kyle, and thanks for pushing the sport in Ontario. Mark your calendars this month for Wake Dans Rue (winch contest) in Drummondville, QC on June 19th, and also Canada's ONLY and BEST cable contest; the 5th annual Ca$h and Crash is going down at the Beach Club in Point Calumet, QC on June 20th. Also coming up July 10th will be the second Wake Dans Rue stop in Trois-Rivières, QC. So come on out, say "bonjour", shred some rails, and finish it off with an authentic poutine tabarnak! haha

Girls Ride Day!

To kick off the summer TID is hosting a free girls ride day at the Wake Institute in Bobcaygeon. The day will take place on the Sunday of Canada Day weekend, July 4th.
